Trip to Kisumu Village - about 1.5 hours via Kampala town by the time we navigate the traffic ! My driver stops for directions and a local takes us on bike into the village. I see Akim on the approach road and give her a high five ! Today was a celebration Ugandan style! Food, dance and prayer and a welcoming party of kids. Im the guest of honour, somehow I feel quite undeserving of this title, but I am now offically a Ugandan!
We cut a birthday cake for November babies, even more special as my Livingstone, the strong silent little man had a birthday last week. He has the most amazing smile and eyes. I hug all of the kids when ever I can, they keep touching my hair and my skin :-) There is so much love and happiness here. :-) The kids love the care packs and girls are dressed in new 'frocks' and knickers and jocks for the boys. The letters from sponsors were received wonderfully. We are on the road by 630pm for the drive back to the "Hill" via Kampala's busstle Nic x
