Cycling Forget Me Not's this year!!!
The excitement builds as our little team of 5 Forget Me Not Cyclists are only 1 day away from beginning their 1000km journey to support our 39 children in Uganda.
It will be a mad last minute check tonight to ensure that nothing is forgotten (something is always left behind). Clarence was in the local bike shop today buying up on last minute supplies! Les was sleeping, saving his energy, Trudy and Dan were busy getting excited and making sure they have a tent that doesn't leak this time (ask Trudy about her experience in last years ride)
Tomorrow Lars, Les and Clarence will ride 100km to Chinchilla as the first Km on the clock. It will then be a day to day update on km's travelled and who is ahead on the km count!
Our little team would like to say a very BIG and humble thankyou to all those that have got behind and supported us so far. With online and offline donation we are up at around $4000.00 raised so far. So halfway there for our ultimate target! http://www.everydayhero.co
As a little incentive to sponsor that extra $1. For every rider that raises over $1000 on owe Everyday Hero Online Sponsorship page that rider will ride a further 2km over the 1000km they have committed to! So as an example Clarence who is currently in the lead at $655! so once he hits over $1000.00 every $1 is worth 2km further on his speedo!
We have all committed to this cause and what we are riding for so we will ride through the night to ensure we get our km's finished!!!
Wish us luck and once again thanks for your support.
