Day 7 Killarney to Woodenbong by Sherpa

As we awoke to another cold frosty morning in Killarney we packed up and headed out to what was going to be a glorious day on the road exploring new country once again. We headed up to Queen Mary falls which was a 7 km climb at 8% to then go further on to Carrs lookout which is breathtaking views of the mountains. After all of the FGMN team making it up it was then time for coffee and scones with panoramic views to die for but we had to then make our way down the mountain which was an easy few km of down hill to then head into NSW were the roads turned to pot holes and more pot holes. Before Lars and Claz could venture into NSW they had to head back to Killarney pharmacy to buy drugs as it was a big day for them to do it unassisted. We reached Legume then headed east along the border ranges which was an awesome ride with more picturesque mountain views, creek crossings and big gum trees reaching up to the clouds. We had some great down hills to give the legs a rest for a minute or two before you cranked down the gears and went up hill again.Lunch break had panoramic views and was welcomed buwrensre was Dan?? 15 minutes later and still no Dan ?? No one had seen or heard of him and Trudy was keeping calm hoping all was good as it turned out to be that Dan was just doing what boys do and wandered of to do a 5km climb up a mountain to a look out for a little fun. After lunch the roads went from bad to worse but nothing that the FGMN team could't handle. As we headed down into Woodenbong there were a lot of riders taking it very careful and just as well for them to I think as they weren't showing a lot of confidence with there down hill skills but having fun all the same. When reaching Woodenbong it was a pretty little place surrounded by mountains and farms with cows grazing peacefully on lush green grass and a beautiful. After riding around to clock up a few more km's we found a nice quite running creek with freezing cold water that was nice to cool of our tired legs. When arriving into camp it was nice to see Dan and Trudy had booked a camp site for us and had our tent out ready to put up. Great to have great friends.
