Today we met the girls at the Civic Mall.
They were all so excited to see us again and we were all looking forward to a fantastic day out all together. In total, there were 32 of us. Quite a crowd!
After lunch, volunteers all took a group of girls shopping. Right from the initial meeting a few days earlier, Robina stuck to me like glue. So in my group, I had Robina, Anita & Sarita. They each chose an item to purchase & the excitement on their faces from having something brand new and so special was wonderful.
The rest of the day was filled by playing games in the arcade & going to the cinema to watch a movie.
It was wonderful to see the girls having such a great time. After all they've been through in their short lives - it really is incredible to see them so happy and be able to come out of their shell and enjoy
themselves.
The girls personalities are all individual but they all love and care for each other so much. It's evident by the way they hug each other and speak so kindly to each other consistently. The house mothers are
adorable and love the girls like their own.
Such a wonderful experience, I'll be forever grateful I've had this
opportunity.
